15 Game Reviews

This game is... outdated. I remember sitting in the library in 7th and 8th grade and playing the first two. They were fun. But I think that the audience of nostalgic players are too mature for this game to be good on a substantial level. Let me state some more objective things about the game first though.

The mechanics of this game are simple and rather flawless, with good tight controls. The music in each world is catchy and fun and lighthearted, fitting the game it is for. The art style is on par with the rest of the serious, not being either good or bad, but consistent and well done. The dialogue is fun and humorous for the young and the young-at-heart. The gameplay isn't too difficult, but poses enough challenge for all players, new and old alike. The boss is a challenge, but not too difficult where it would seem impossible and unfun.

Now more of an opinionated review. The controls were good, but sometimes felt a bit slow for me, though maybe it was just the physics of the game having a relatively low max speed. The music was pretty catchy, but when trying to collect everything in each level, it just droned on and on. The dialogue was painful to read through, being both far too childish and strangely paced, being that the thought bubbles required a command to get through as well as changing over time, and sometimes were skipped entirely if you weren't careful. The game itself was easy, but it felt too slow because trying to gather all the squiggles and stars took twice as much time as getting through just the story itself.

I hope this was constructive, destructive criticism isn't really useful, now, is it? I just felt, through the whole game, that the only reason I was playing it was that I had to because I finished the older ones. I played it only for a hope at nostalgic fun, which was rather poorly received. I'm sure, however, that a newer generation would enjoy this much more than I did. That isn't to say it was fun, it just wasn't for me.

Wow...

This game was so... different. And it was so strange. I just KNEW what to do while playing it; where to turn first, what to pick up, etc. I loved this game, and the music was really well made. The art was beautiful and attractive in a very dark way, while at the same time being a bit frightening. The gameplay was amazing. I really enjoyed this. Thank you, for the experience.

Cool game

Seems like fun, can't wait to play the full version. I hope there is more than one weapon though; the flame thrower seems to have limited options. And It's kind of tedious to only be able to shoot forward, so maybe make an aiming aspect to it?
Besides that, seems really awesome.

cool game

I saw all these people complaining in reviews about restarts and stuff, but I just went through the entire game, no restarts. Even got some gold bloon highscore things lol. I got all but the last laser upgrade. Great time waster.:D

I'm sorry

This is a terrible impersonation of DDR. The reason DDR has 90 second songs is because of intense strain. They never put in a full song (unless it really is that short. Also the graphics are terrible, the game was to easy, and the SONG sucked so bad I wanted to hang myself. I give you 0/5 and 2/10.

It was awesome.

But the reason i put a 9 is because of the 100% incentive. There is no jump button! :(
I loved the way the game was a platformer but you eliminated that in the preview of the next game. :(
If you could maybe change that it will no doubt be a better game when it does happen to be released. :)

Amazing :D

This is an amazing game, but the game doesn't fit the screen. :( It gets cut off at all the edges :(

Awesome :)

It's a really fun game. And it's funny how the Japanese character starts with throwing stars and goes up to kunai knives :P. Great game :)

Wow

Really good. I don't know how many endings there are, but I got three of them. Only not 10 because it's way to hard to do without a walk through. But otherwise it's an amazing escape game. (One of the endings I got is really similar to the main one, just rearrange the shotgun rounds so you shoot the "Duck Hunt" one first, which just elongates the final cutscene before the credits.)

Good

good but in my opinion you use the "In a Trance Redux" song too much.
Still good, 4/5 9/10

Name's Carlos. I love video games, electronic music, and talking to people about stuff. I'm 18 and in school. I like to make people laugh and have fun. I have a hard time with that whole "being happy" thing, but I try. Get to know me? :)
